Lash Home Care
before the appointment
-
Make sure that you remove your mascara, and eye make-up completely before you come in for the appointment. Even a slightest trace of mascara and make up residues will cause the extensions to fall out prematurely.
-
It is helpful if you shower before your appointment, because it is best to avoid any contact with water & steam for 24 hrs to ensure that the bond between your natural lashes and extensions to properly set. This will also help remove any oils and residues left behind so that the lashes are clean when you come in. (I will still clean it, but adding this step will maximize your retention)
-
Avoid applying oil based products around the eyes.
-
Avoid caffeine… You will see the best possible results when you are relaxed while the specialist will concentrate on applying the lashes!

after the appointment
-
Avoid getting your extensions wet for the first 24 hours. Exposing your new extensions to any moisture such as steam, high humidity, water and heat will result in the lash glue over curing, becoming brittle and your extensions will fall off within a few days.
-
Please keep your extensions clean. Clean them gently and daily with a designated lash cleanser. Consider this regimen as the same as brushing your teeth regularly. Leaving any make-up residues on your lashes will accumulate and cause bacteria to grow, causing eye irritation and infections.
-
Keep oil based products away from your extensions and limit the use on your face as much as possible.
-
Gently brush your extensions with the mascara wand given to you after the appointment. (Best time to do it is after the shower when your extensions are wet and more flexible)

During the spring and autumn, humans experience natural lash sheds, just like animals, we shed hair from all over our bodies-including our lashes. At these times of year you may find your lashes do not last as long because of this natural shed. After a few weeks our bodies do calm down, so do not be alarmed. Lashes also grows in cycles. The average cycle is usually 9-12 weeks. This means that the amount of lashes you have week after week will vary depending on what stage of your lash cycle you are in. Some weeks your lashes will look fuller and your retention will be better than other.
